Local knowledge

La Jolla concrete lives in the hardest conditions on the coast.

Salt spray off the Cove, year-round marine layer, and intense afternoon sun put more stress on exterior concrete in La Jolla than anywhere else we work. Pool decks chalk and fade, and sealers fail early if they were ever applied at all.

Most of the concrete we see here doesn't need to be torn out. A driveway in Muirlands or a pool surround in La Jolla Shores can usually be restored, re-colored, and sealed against the salt air for a fraction of replacement cost — without weeks of demolition on the property.

La Jolla's stamped concrete takes a beating from sun and salt air, and it's some of our favorite work. We specialize in bringing it back to life — restoring faded surfaces and reinventing their color so stamped patios, driveways, and pool decks look brand new again, with any hairline cracks filled first so the pattern reads seamless.

We work the way estate properties expect: color approved from swatches before we start, clean job sites, discreet crews, and finishes judged against the home itself — not against other concrete.

What we do for La Jolla homes

Stamped Concrete Revival

Faded, worn stamped concrete brought back to life — color revived and the surface resealed so patios, walkways, and pool decks look brand new again. Hairline cracks are filled first so the finish reads as one seamless surface.

Common questions in La Jolla

Questions we get before every job.

How often should concrete be resealed this close to the ocean?

In La Jolla's salt-air zone we recommend resealing every 1–2 years, depending on exposure and the product used. Homes west of La Jolla Boulevard sit on the aggressive end of that range. We offer scheduled resealing so it's maintained, not rescued.

Can you restore our pool deck without tearing it out?

Usually, yes. Unless the slab has structural failure, most faded or worn decks can be cleaned, repaired, re-colored, and sealed with an Grit-infused finish in days — not the weeks a demolition and repour takes, and without heavy equipment on the property.

Do you work around landscaping, stonework, and finishes we can't risk?

That's the standard here and we plan for it. Adjacent surfaces are masked and protected, your color is approved from swatches before we start, and the site is left clean every day. You'll see exactly what the finish looks like before we commit to the full surface.
